Armed Robbery – 221 N. Main St. – March 22, 2016

On 3/21/2016, at about 9:46 p.m., Officers of the Clovis Police Department were dispatched to an armed robbery which had just occurred at the Dairy Queen restaurant located at 2221 North Main Street. Officers responded to the scene and contacted employees and witnesses to the robbery.
According to the witnesses, the suspect, a male subject armed with a handgun, entered the business from its rear entrance, passing two employees who were throwing trash in the alley. The suspect stole bank bags containing deposits from the business and as he exited the store, the suspect pointed a handgun at two of the employees before fleeing the scene.
Employees and witnesses described the suspect as a Hispanic male subject wearing a black jacket with a gray in color hooded sweatshirt underneath it. He was also wearing a dark blue in color bandanna covering his face. The investigation into this event is ongoing.
