Wanted Suspects Captured in Ruidoso, NM – 04/12/2017

On April 10, 2017, two subjects, Kim Moore (35 years of age), and Dominic Carver (25 years of age) who were wanted on multiple outstanding arrest warrants, were taken into custody in Ruidoso, New Mexico.

On 040817, the Clovis Police Department relayed information to the Ruidoso Police Department in reference to Kim Moore and Dominic Carver. The Ruidoso Police Department located one of the vehicles known to be used by Kim Moore. The driver of the vehicle fled from Officers, abandoning the vehicle. On 041017, Officers of the Ruidoso Police Department responded to a cabin in reference to a domestic violence call. Suspects at this call barricaded themselves inside of the cabin, but were ultimately located by Officers. Kim Moore and Dominic Carver were identified as the suspects of the domestic violence call. Both subjects were arrested for their outstanding arrest warrants and other additional criminal charges.

The search for Kim Moore has been ongoing since December 2016, after Kim Moore was placed on furlough following a guilty verdict in a Curry County District Court. Moore failed to report to custody on December 19, 2016, and had been evading capture since.

Investigators of the Curry County Sheriff’s Office, the Ninth Judicial District, District Attorney’s Office Investigators, and the Clovis Police Department Special Operations Unit had been working together for the last four months, following leads and executing search warrants on businesses and persons who may have assisted Kim Moore. As information was developed and it was realized that Kim Moore and Dominic Carver may be together outside of Curry County, these agencies enlisted help from the Albuquerque Police Department and ultimately the Ruidoso Police Department. Without this interagency cooperation and sharing of information, both Moore and Carver would have evaded capture for a much longer time. Our appreciation goes out to all agencies involved in this capture, and all of the information forwarded by the citizens of Curry County and Clovis, New Mexico.

Kim Moore and Dominic Carver are awaiting extradition from Lincoln County, New Mexico.
