On Tuesday, January 9th, 2018, at about 2:50 p.m., Officers of the Clovis Police Department were dispatched to the 500 block of Wallace Street in reference to an injured subject. On arrival, Officers made contact with a 46 year old male subject who had a wound to his left thigh. The wound appeared to be an entrance and exit wound. The 46 year old male victim was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The victim was interviewed, relaying that he had been shot by a Gabrielle Carver (25 years of age). According to the victim, he had been confronted by Carver, who pulled a “sawed off” rifle on him, then shot him.
The Special Operations Unit of the Clovis Police Department was activated and is investigating this incident. An arrest warrant has been issued for Gabrielle Carver (25 years of age), who is described as a Hispanic female, who is 5’07″ tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, who has black hair, and brown eyes. The arrest warrant is for Aggravated Battery, a third degree felony.
