On Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at about 8:47 a.m., Officers of the Clovis Police Department were dispatched to 720 East 1st Street, Allsup’s Convenience Store, in reference to a robbery. On arrival, Officers made contact with an employee who stated a light complected male, whose face was covered, had robbed the store while armed with a knife. According to the employee, the suspect left the store and was last seen walking west. Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect.
The Clovis Police Department Special Operations Unit responded to the scene and this incident is under investigation. A small amount of money was stolen during the course of the robbery. Because of the prolific use of credit and debit cards, convenience stores typically have less than seventy dollars in the register.
The robbery suspect is described as being a light skinned male, who was dressed in a black or dark blue jacket, and blue jeans. The suspect had covered his face with what appeared to be a white in color shirt, and was armed with a knife.
The Clovis Police Department is looking for assistance in identifying this suspect.
