
Patrol officers serve all citizens within the City of Clovis through enforcement of laws, timely response to calls for service, initial investigation of criminal offenses, apprehension of offenders, and enforcement of traffic laws. Patrol is the largest division in the Clovis Police Department.

Patrol shifts consist of three shifts to provide 24-hour protection to the City of Clovis.
Day Shift (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
Swing Shift (2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.)
Grave Shift (8:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)
Each shift is comprised of patrol officers assigned to geographic zones within the city. Sergeants supervise each shift and a lieutenant and captain oversee the Patrol Division.
