Detective Lieutenant Dial started his law enforcement career with the City of Clovis in September of 1993. Lt. Dial worked in Patrol and then as Motor Officer in the Traffic Unit.  Lt. Dial was selected to the SWAT Team in 1995. Lt. Dial promoted to Sergeant in December of 2006.  Lt. Dial was assigned to the Patrol Division as a Sergeant and was the First-Line Supervisor of the Traffic Division. Lt. Dial became the Detective Sergeant in SOU in June 2011. Lieutenant Dial was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in January 2012 and took over as the commander of the Special Operations Unit (Detectives) as Detective Lieutenant.
