This Saturday afternoon at approximately 3:40 pm, March 13, 2010 the Major Crimes Unit took 19 year-old Luciano P. Guerra of Clovis into custody without incident at his lawyer’s office in Clovis. Luciano P. Guerra was subsequently charged with an open count of Murder in connection with the early Saturday morning stabbing death of Andrew Gama in the South parking lot area of the Clovis Apartments located at Charlotte and Martin Luther King Boulevard in Clovis.
It was learned through multiple interviews with several individuals that suspect Luciano Guerra was the person that had stabbed victim Andrew Gama multiple times at the Clovis Apartments incident.
Luciano Guerra will be transported to the Curry County Adult Detention Center for booking on the open count of Murder charge.
The investigation into the homicide of Andrew Gama is still ongoing at this time by Clovis Police Department Detectives and the Major Crimes Unit, also consisting of the Curry County Sheriff Office, Roosevelt County Sheriff Office and 9th Judicial District Attorney Office, therefore no other information will be released at this time.
