The Clovis Police Department is currently recruiting for the Clovis Police Explorers Program. 

This program is for those that are at least 14 years of age, but no older than 18 years of age. 

We explore many things that involve Law Enforcement, not just police work. We have attorneys come in and talk about their professions and how cases are presented in a court of law, from both the prosecutorial and defense sides of the law. We have demonstrations from SWAT, criminal forensics, traffic enforcement, K-9, emergency driving and patrol officer duties. We conduct classroom work utilizing the New Mexico Criminal and Traffic Law Manual. We write police reports on many cases that we present to you. We also go over defensive tactics and discuss the equipment that is available to each officer.
