Clovis – June 11, 2013 – On Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at approximately 10:47 AM,

the Clovis Police Department was notified of an escape of a County Detention Inmate

from the Clovis Municipal Court.

The escapee has been identified as Ruben Hernandez, DOB: 5/21/1973. Mr.

Hernandez is described as a male, Hispanic, height of 5’9”, weight 165 lbs, short

brown hair and brown eyes. We believe Mr. Hernandez is now wearing a white shirt,

blue jeans and blue high-top shoes.

As of this release, the primary goal of the Clovis Police Department continues to be the

following of leads and information to recapture Mr. Hernandez.

As a part of the investigation, the Clovis Police Department Special Operations Unit is

working with the Clovis Municipal Court to determine the sequence of events leading

to the escape. At this point, the investigation is in its preliminary stages and it is

premature to provide any further information at this point.

Should you come into contact with Mr. Hernandez, he should be considered armed

and very dangerous. Please do not attempt to apprehend Mr. Hernandez.
